Commercial Landscapes
Whether the project is a small historic garden, a church, or a large scale multi-family development; an aesthetic and functional landscape adds value and identity.
Four Winds serves commercial clientele throughout the entire project with design development, board or community presentation, permitting and approval acquisition, obtaining construction bids, and construction administration. Other services include creation of Project Identity Packages, which help the project to gain distinctiveness through an integration of graphic and landscape design. Packages include development branding, logos, entrance signs, and marketing material which all come together to create a visually cohesive set.
Former and ongoing historic commercial clients include The Edgar Allan Poe Museum and The Hanover Tavern. Four Winds served to develop a long term master plan, obtain locality approval, create fundraising materials, and supervise installation for projects having reached that phase.
Former and ongoing church clientele include Kilmarnock Baptist, Mount Pisgah United Methodist, Tomahawk Baptist, and The Brandermill Church. All are engaged in developing memorial gardens, and Four Winds has served these church committees with the design of columbaria, ash scattering areas, and other alternative forms of interment; as well as creating gathering spaces and meditation gardens.
Four Winds has also worked with numerous local developers on multi-family housing projects to create outdoor amenities that lead to higher valued real estate and rentals. Project features have included LEED certification, exercise trails and stations, pools, sports fields and courts, car washing stations, dog parks, outdoor cooking & picnicking areas, and site security.
